About Ackley Machines Corporation

Ackley Machine Corporation was founded in 1976 by E. Michael Ackley to design and manufacture machines to print on consumable products. E. Michael Ackley (d. March 13, 2020) left a legacy of knowledge, innovation and manufacturing leadership that continued to flourish under the management team he worked with for decades.

In June of 2023, R-V Industries Inc. acquired Ackley.

About R.W. Hartnett Company

Founded in 1880 in Philadelphia on “Printer’s Row,” R.W. Hartnett began fixing paper printing machines. In 1934 the R.W. Hartnett team began building an imprinting machine for candy. The company’s reputation for excellence was noted by New York’s FORD GUM company in 1945 as they tasked the Hartnett team with developing a machine that would print on their line of gumballs. In 1949 Hartnett Company applied for patents after developing the first ever machine capable of printing on a tablet or capsule.

In October of 2023,  R-V Industries Inc. acquired the R.W. Hartnett Company.
